Tabouret N° 307 by Jean Prouvé for Vitra.
Developed by Jean Prouvé along with various other stools in the 1950s that he named with different numbers, Tabouret N° 307 is now available for purchase. The seat features a tractor saddle-like shape without holes similar to the seats in the lecture theatre he designed at Aix-Marseille University around the same time.
Unlike the original, which used stamped aluminium sheeting, the new Vitra Tabouret N° 307 seat is crafted from solid oak with interesting contrasting tubular steel legs. Available in two different finishes: with the seat in light oak and base in Prouvé Blanc Colombe or with the seat in dark oak and base in deep black.
